Biscuits with carob and dried figs
simple and fine biscuits, ideal in these cold days with a cup of hot drink ..aromatic taste, reminiscent of childhood .. thanks to my Dalmatians for carob, homemade dried figs and jam, without which I could not make these crispy and delicious biscuits ..
Preparation steps
- preparation of the dough sift the flour with baking powder, add sugar, vanilla sugar, ground carob, then gently mix all the ingredients with your fingers. then stir in the finely chopped dried figs, I blended them, and then add the fig jam. make a smooth mixture with your fingers and finally add the finely chopped butter, or grate it on a grater, if you find it easier, or use it to use cold from the fridge.
- roll out the fine and compact dough on a work surface sprinkled with flour. the thickness of the cookies should be 3-5 mm. molds, molds take out shapes as desired.
- you can coat a large baking tray with a little melted butter and sprinkle with flour or simply cover it with baking paper,
- arrange the prepared biscuits and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes.
