Preparation steps
- If using an electric dough mixer: Mix all ingredients and mix on low speed for about 4 min. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes and continue to mix at medium speed for another 2-3 minutes.
- Hand mixing: Mix all the ingredients with a wooden spoon until a ball is formed and the dough begins to separate from the bowl. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes and continue to mix quickly for another 2-3 minutes. Leave the dough to rise a little.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and shape each into a ball. coat the balls with olive or vegetable oil and let stand for 15-20 minutes. Roll out the dough on a baking tray and then transfer it to an overturned baking tray sprinkled with cornmeal. Add sauce, cheese and whatever else you like. Bake at 550F (290C) for 7 minutes.
Serving
The dough can be frozen or put in the fridge and used for a period of 2-3 days. In this case, put the oiled balls in individual bags and store in the refrigerator or freezer.
