Bayan's Kurdish shfte

I haven't written a Kurdish recipe for a long time ... I've put a recipe for Kurdish shft before, but this recipe thrilled us all. We got the recipe from my husband's brother.

Preparation steps

  • Put the meat and all the listed ingredients in a larger bowl and mix everything well.
  • Put a little water in one bowl and with your wet hands make oval snicles about the size of a palm and stack them on a tray.
  • When you have used all the mixture, put oil in the pan (from the possibility of it being about 1 cm deep oil), heat it and fry the meat for about 2-3 minutes on each side. If you see that the oil has turned black, change it once during frying, if necessary.

Serving

Shfta is usually eaten with Kurdish flatbread with lots of fresh parsley, spring onions, radishes and fried vegetables (fried eggplants, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, etc.).
