Baklava Muffins
I found this recipe in a German blog and had to try it. I changed it a bit because it had some spices that don't come in our baklava. They are really tasty and not very sweet at all.
Preparation steps
- Everyone will be wondering what Buttermilch is ??? It is a sour milk. It is similar to yoghurt, but it is much milder and more liquid than yoghurt. It is obtained during the preparation of butter. Take 300 ml of milk and add one tablespoon of lemon juice or white wine vinegar to it. Leave it to sour and you have your own made Puter's milk. I didn't make it myself, but I asked for extra here for those who can't get it. Since it's probably hard to find Buttermich downstairs, I tried it with normal milk and it turned out great. So you can take normal milk without any problems.
- For the filling: butter, sugar and vanilla sugar
- put in the oven and bring to the boil,
- add chopped walnuts, mix well and
- set aside.
- Put all the dough ingredients in a bowl and
- mix everything together (it does not have to be mixed for a long time, it is enough to combine the mass).
- Take one Muffins form and put pieces of paper in it and put one spoonful of kneaded dough in each piece of paper.
- Put a small spoonful of walnut mass on it and then
- cover again with a little dough.
- Re-divide the rest of the walnut mass and
- and cover with dough batter.
- Place in the oven and bake for 20 -25 minutes at 180 C to brown.
- When they are ready, take them out of the oven and pierce them a couple of times with a toothpick
- with melted lukewarm honey
- coat over the finished muffins. Melt about 50 g of chocolate and decorate the muffins.
