Baked Cowboy Omelette

When we came to Canada, I adored this omelette and very often we ate it as a sandwich .... quite by chance I came across this recipe, which is baked in the oven ... add lettuce and you have a complete lunch without any fat.

Preparation steps

  • Put eggs and milk in a large bowl and whisk with a whisk, add the dry spice you use (here it is Mrs Dash) pepper and everything else; grated cheese, finely chopped ham, finely chopped onion, both peppers (I used 2 smaller jalapino peppers instead of green beans, which I cleaned of veins and seeds) finely chopped garlic and a little chopped parsley, mix everything.
  • Grease or spray a 23cm X 23cm baking tray with baking spray and pour the prepared mass. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 ° C for 45 minutes or until slightly browned on top (if by any chance it starts to turn too yellow to cover with baking paper or reduce the temperature.
  • Leave the baked omelette to cool, cut it into pieces, sprinkle with finely chopped parsley or dill and serve with lettuce or sliced tomato.
  • Pleasant !!!!

Serving

It can be used here instead of ham, smoked bacon or sausage, instead of yellow cheddar cheese any you like Gouda, Swiss, and instead of peppers vegetables of your choice ... this version here is classic.
