Bacon in ajvar sauce
Fine and spicy for gourmets!
Preparation steps
- Separate the bacon from the bones, beat with a meat grinder, add salt, season with and pepper and roll lightly in flour. Shake off excess flour.
- Fry the bacon in hot oil on one and the other side briefly, just enough to brown it a bit and set it aside.
- Fry finely chopped onion in the same oil, return the bacon and pour water to cover them. Add a little salt (feta cheese is quite salty) and add pepper. Cover and crunch until soft. Pour the ajvar, shake the bowl to dissolve the ajvar and cook for another 5 minutes. Then add the chopped feta cheese and when it melts add a lot of chopped basil.
- If you like hot then use hot ajvar.
- Serve with some fine pasta. Pleasant!
