Apple moussaka
If you have excess apples and don’t know what to do with them, here’s an idea. Worth five hearts.
Preparation steps
- Wash the apples, peel and cut transversely into rings
- Dip each roll in scrambled eggs to which you have added a little salt and a little water.
- When you have soaked the apple slice in the egg, put it in a mixture of pretzels, oatmeal and flour. You also added cinnamon to your liking.
- Fry the apples in hot oil until golden brown and take them out on paper to drain off the excess oil. File:
- Steam the ground walnuts with hot sugared milk and add cranberries, raisins, dried apricots (whatever you like, if desired). The filling will be liquid, but don't worry that it will blend with the apples after baking. Procedure:
- Line a round baking tray with baking paper and arrange a row of apples and then a row of fillings. Repeat the process until you have used up all the ingredients.
- There must be a row of apples at the end.
- According to the original recipe, it says that the moussaka is poured with a salt of milk in which you have beaten one egg. I didn't do it. You can do without it.
- Bake at 350 F for about 35 min. You adjust the baking to your oven.
- Remove the roast and let it stand for a while before turning it over on a tray and sprinkle with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar.
- Chilled cut and serve.
