5 x 5
This is a biscuit mixture that is subject to variations: it can be a fruit cake or a revanija (patišpanja), it can be used to make a solid marble cake or čupavci. The basic biscuit mixture contains: 5 eggs, 25 tablespoons of sugar, 25 tablespoons of flour, 25 tablespoons of milk, 25 tablespoons of oil and 1 bag of baking powder. So how many eggs do you have x 5. (e.g. if you use 7 eggs the other ingredients will be 35 tablespoons each)
Preparation steps
- Wash the apples, peel them and grate them. Saute them in a little butter, with the addition of a little cinnamon, until the liquid released by the apples evaporates, it all takes about 5 minutes. Allow to cool.
- Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Whisk the egg whites into the solid snow. Whisk the egg yolks with 25 tablespoons of sugar until "whitened", add 1 bag of Vanilla sugar, 1 bag of baking powder, 20 tablespoons of flour + 5 tablespoons of ground almonds, 17 tablespoons of milk + 8 tablespoons of liquid yogurt and 25 spoon of oil. Add egg whites to the whipped mixture and mix slowly.
- Pour about half of the mixture into a floured and floured pan, bake for about 10-15. minutes at a temperature of 170 degrees C. When a little browned, arrange the sliced apples and pour the other half of the mixture over it. Reduce the oven temperature to approximately 150 degrees and bake the cake until done.
- Sprinkle the baked, lukewarm cake with ground almonds and cover with something (me with another pan) to steam a bit.
