2in1 and jam and juice

simply, it couldn't be simpler, a recipe from my grandmother's old notebook, the mixture makes both jam and strawberry juice .... if you like it, I highly recommend you try it ..

Preparation steps

  • wash the strawberries well, clean them then dry them, cut them in half, if you have bigger strawberries, you can also cut them into quarters.
  • in a plastic bowl line-a row of strawberries, then a row of crystal sugar, on top must be sugar and two bags of vanilla sugar. Cover the bowl with a kitchen cloth and leave at room temperature for 24 hours.
  • transfer the mixture to a pan and put on the fire to boil, and let it cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon.
  • from the mixture you get, jam and juice.separate the density (jam) from the juice, pour into heated jars jam, and juice into bottles, close well and keep in a dry, cool place to cool. once you open a jar of jam or a bottle of juice, keep it in the refrigerator until the next use.

Serving

you can also work with other seasonal fruits, e.g. raspberry, cherry, etc..when adding crystal sugar, it all depends on how sweet your strawberries are, mine were too sweet and very juicy.
